Don´t miss this special opportunity to visit Vienna, a city that was once the imperial and cultural centre of Europe as well as the seat of the Habsburg Empire during the 18th century. Traveling toward the southern border of the Czech Republic, we will arrive at the edge of Vienna after approximately 3 to 4 hours of travel through the picturesque landscape of Bohemia and Moravia. Passing through the city is Europe´s largest river, the Danube.
Our bus will travel around the famous Ringstrasse, a magnificent boulevard which Franz Joseph I built in the 1880´s on the site of demolished city walls. On the way, you will see splendid, majestic buildings including palaces, museums, hotels and parks with statues of important people.
Next we travel to Vienna‘s southern edge. After the tour we will return by bus to the centre of the city for a walking tour through Hofburg (own expense), the Habsburg‘s winter residence. Then we will travel to Saint Stephen‘s Cathedral. after your guided tour, enjoy free time for lunch, shopping or visit Schonbrünn Chateau (own expense). At the end of this free time, we will meet in front of Saint Stephens‘s Cathedral to board the bus for our return trip to Prague.
