Our Karlstejn Castle Bike Tour rolls you southwest of Prague along the Vltava and Berounka Rivers and through the Czech countryside to the gothic fortress built by King Karel IV to house the imperial jewels and his collection of holy relics. Karlstejn Castle, with its enchanting, monumental architecture is one of the most-visited castles in the country.
We start the guided bike trip to Karlstejn from the Praha Bike office in the center of Prague. Our cycling time to the castle takes about 3.5 hours. During our trip we will pass through several villages, making observation and refreshments stops. Upon our arrival at Karlstejn Village (population 800) we stop for lunch in a traditional Czech restaurant. Then, we leave our bikes behind to walk (15 min) up to the castle grounds. Your guide will introduce you to the history of the castle as well as the life of Karel IV and will show you around the exterior. (Guests have the option of taking a guided tour (55 min) of the castle interior (Adults 270Kc, Children, Students & Seniors (180Kc)
We return back to Prague by train. Trains depart from Karlstejn to Prague approx every 20 min with the journey lasting 40 min. Our trip ends at the Praha Bike office around 17:00. For the whole trip you will be accompanied with our friendly and very helpful tour guide.

Karlstejn Castle once held royal, imperial and coronation jewels as well as a state documents. Our bike trip begins from the Praha Bike office in the center of Prague. Following a bike path along the Vltava and Berounka Rivers, we will enjoy an approximately 4 hour bike ride with regular stops and refreshment stop at beer garden. We also stop at amazing. Velká Amerika Canyon (Czech Grand Canyon is partially flooded limestone quarry). We will view the quarry from an observation platform.
At Karlstejn we will have a lunch break. After explore Karlstejn Castle exterior as your guide introduces you to the castle´s history, the life of Charles IV, his era and cultural impact. Your guide also will assist you on the train ride back to Prague, however you will be able to depart wherever you prefer in the city.
Our trip ends at approximately at 5:00 p.m.

This tour has a 2 passenger minimum requirement and is subject to cancellation if this minimum is not met. In the unlikely event of such a cancellation, a refund will be provided or an alternative will be offered.
Karlstejn E-bike tours are available all year around by advanced reservations except Monday
